About the translator

Marco Díaz's credentials include the Specialized Certificate in Translation from the University of California San Diego Extension Program, specialized legal translation courses from Cálamo & Cran in Madrid, Spain, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Electrical from ITESM (Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico). He has four years of translation, editing, and proofreading experience. He has taught Spanish to non-native speakers for over eight years and been immersed in both Anglophone and Spanish-speaking countries for many years, which has allowed him to gain solid knowledge of Spanish and English grammar and understand the cultural nuances of both languages. Marco is an associate member of the American Translator's Association (ATA), the National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators (NAJIT) and the Association of Translators and Interpreters of the San Diego Area (ATISDA). He is committed to continued education in order to strengthen and update his knowledge in his areas of specialization.
